Does the recipient need to sign for delivery?
No. All courier deliveries will have an 'authority to leave' authorisation which we prefer as we don't want to disturb a patient. It is up to the discretion of the courier if they deem the property safe to leave the Care Box. If there is nowhere safe to leave the Care Box then a card will be left in the letterbox/front door to arrange re-delivery or delivered to the local collection depot for collection by the recipient.

Can I send a card with the parcel?
Absolutely! We write your personal message by hand on our beautifully designed 'Thinking of you' cards free of charge. Please provide your message in the outlined section.
Can I buy items individually?
Yes! You can indeed. If you want to purchase something in particular - just add to cart and we will make sure it is beautifully wrapped and delivered. Smaller items will be sent in eco-friendly courier bag as opposed to a full box. We always include a gift card so make sure you include your personal message for the recipient.

Do you ship internationally?
Shipping is currently within New Zealand only, but if this is something you are interested in please contact me and I can investigate delivery costs further.
When will you respond to my email?
Our customer service team works Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm, we do not operate over the weekend. If you have emailed us over the weekend, we will reply as soon as we are back in office.
Can I collect my order?
Cancer Care Box is an online store only, so all parcels are delivered directly
What details do I need to provide when delivering to any hospital?
Please be sure to include hospital name, the recipients 'Full check-in' name, ward and room number. If you are unsure you can call the hospital that they have been admitted to. Please check the estimated delivery dates above to ensure the recipient will not have checked out of hospital before the Care Box is expected to be delivered. Cancer Care Box takes no responsibility should the recipient check out prior to the expected delivery date.
Re-direction to a different address will incur additional shipping costs. If you are unsure if the recipient will still be in hospital at time of delivery we recommend you send to their home address instead.
Auckland Hospital Delivery:

What is the delivery timeline?
We work with a range of different courier services to make sure we get your gift parcel to the recipient in tip top condition and within the quickest timeline possible.
I need it delivered on a specific day?
If that's the case, let us know in the notes what the occasion is, (eg. completing treatment or an anniversary) and we'll add our custom-designed "DON'T OPEN UNTIL _____" sticker to the front of their Care Box.
I just received a Shipping confirmation but I requested my box to held for a later date!
Our system automatically sends out a shipping notification with tracking details when your order has been packed. Don't fret, we'll hold onto this one for you in our warehouse until it's ready to be shipped on your specific date.
Do you do weekend delivery?
Yes, we offer weekend delivery for special circumstances upon request. Please indicate you require weekend delivery by getting in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org
While we always practised a high level of safety and hygiene, we wanted to let you know the extra safety and hygiene measures we will be undertaking to ensure we can provide you with the best and safest service possible, especially during the COVID-19 health crisis. We are a family run business who is acutely aware that patients may be immunosuppressed and therefore we are very strict about cleanliness and hygiene practices.
If New Zealand is at Covid Alert Level 2 of above the following measures will be in place:
- Our team will be wearing Face Mask and Gloves at all times, and have a timer set that goes off every 20 minutes for them to wash their hands.
- In our facility we will practise social distancing so staff remain 2 metres apart.
- All deliveries into our Food Facility is done so ensuring contractors/ courier drivers don’t come within a 2 metre distance.
- We have stepped up already robust Food Hygiene Practises and continue to enforce good Personal Hygiene.
- Our courier partner has already put into practise their own systems to deliver your package safely.
